Enginetech connecting rod bearings B-Series.
These main and rod bearings has been the preferred choice for rebuilders for over 25 years. Around a decade ago, when aluminum bearings first emerged, Enginetech continued to produce the higher-quality tri-metal 780 bearings. Enginetech held steady with the 780 tri-metal material for years because it offered superior performance compared to early aluminum bearing technology.
Recent advancements in technology have significantly improved aluminum bearings. The incorporation of high levels of silicon into aluminum alloys has elevated aluminum-silicon bearing materials to the preferred bearing status.
The performance of these new aluminum-silicon alloys now matches or exceeds that of the original tri-metal designs. As a result of these advancements, Enginetech is transitioning most of our main and rod bearings to the advanced aluminum-silicon material.
