Honda check engine light codes OBD0 & OBD1

All Honda models (1992-2000 models) are equipped with an On-Board Diagnostic system (ODB) which illuminates a malfunction or check engine light on the dash.
It is possible to read these codes via the service connecter that is often found at the ECU of the car.
If you bridge the two cables in the connector the check engine light will illuminate alternately to give you the code of the malfunction.
