Tegiwa subframe rigid collar kit/Subframe bushings (Honda Civic 07-12)
Description
TEGIWA Rigid Collars are a form of body strengthening, creating the same effect in part to "seam-welding". When fitted to the recommended key points where the subframe meets the chassis, it creates a more perfect join; significantly improving the all-round handling of the car. This form of chassis tuning is almost as strong as welding the components together; like many race cars do! As used on ALL Civic Cup cars.
Why do you need them? During the production process the bolt holes in the bodyshell/subframe are made significantly larger than the bolt. This can cause issues, due to the subframe being able to move around! If the two panels don't sit flat and even, they can work against each other creating a "spring effect", this is detrimental to the handling of the car.
