Our thermostat begins to open 10 degrees earlier than the stock thermostat at 68 degrees (154.4F) and is fully open 7 degrees earlier than stock at 83 degrees (181.4F). That allows precious coolant to flow into the radiator and start shedding heat sooner. Couple this thermostat with the Mishimoto performance aluminum radiator and direct-fit oil cooler kit for a Civic Type R that runs as cool as it looks.
