Melling is a leader in engineering design, development, prototype, testing and assembly of fluid delivery products and related items for the automotive OEM industry as well as the aftermarket industry. In addition to being a leading manufacturer of aftermarket oil pumps, they also offer camshafts, timing components, valve train, cylinder sleeves, expansion plugs, and tools for the engine building industry.
Melling engine assembly lube, MELL-LUBE, is formulated to be an initial lubricant on camshaft metal surfaces as well as related valve train parts. The added zinc material (1400 ppm) provides MELL-LUBE with added protection to prevent scoring and galling during initial engine start-up for both newly rebuilt and / or remanufactured engines.
In addition, MELL-LUBE contains corrosion inhibitors to prevent rust and pitting of components. MELL-LUBE mixes with any engine oil and will not clog filters. Melling recommends MELL-LUBE be a part of every camshaft install.
