Lisle Honda

Lisle Corporation recently celebrated the company's founding and 115 years of continuous production in Clarinda, Iowa in 2018. The privately held company is today run by third, fourth, fifth and sixth generation family members. CA Lisle started the company in 1903 with its first product: horse-powered water well drilling machines. To counteract the seasonality of well drilling, the fledgling company branched out and also produced washing machines, cream separators and push cage lawn mowers.

In the mid-1920s, Lisle Corporation made its first automotive product, a master ignition vibrator for Ford Model T vehicles. The first Lisle tool, a valve refacer, quickly became a must-have for a repair shop as valves were reground every 20,000 miles during that time. In the 1930s, the magnetic drain plug line was launched. The line grew steadily and Lisle plugs were widely used in many pieces of military equipment during World War II. The company was subsequently awarded the Army/Navy E Award for outstanding production in support of the war effort.

In the post-war 1950s, the automotive aftermarket boomed and the demand for special automotive tools increased. Lisle Corporation then made the decision to grow the business by introducing new tools that could be made in the company's own factory, controlling quality, delivery and cost. Subsequently, a series of garage crawlers for mechanics was added through acquisition. The line is still sold today under the brand name Jeepers Creepers. At this point, the private label business started to grow. This part of the business thrives today. Tools manufactured by Lisle Corporation can be found under private label under many of the leading brand names for tool and auto parts available on the market.

At A4H-TECH, Lisle is the party that supplies unique parts. These are not only applicable to a Honda, but can also be used for other cars or other purposes. This makes Lisle unique and ensures an expansion of the tools at A4H-TECH. These parts include honing stones, a voltage tester and a deluxe feeler gauge.

The company has branched out even more in recent decades through acquisitions and constant innovation of new products. Today, Lisle specialty automotive tools, mechanic's creepers, and lubrication and tire products are the line of choice among automotive warehouse distributors and jobbers, as Lisle produces quality products that are well-priced. The automotive specialty tool line now consists of more than 650 products, the vast majority of which are manufactured at the expanded site of the original factory built in 1903 in Clarinda, Iowa.
