Nippon racing PCX pistons are heat treated and come with several coatings that make them the perfect replacement set when rebuilding one of these rare engines. with todays technology there is now several manufacturers making boring and honing kits for these frm cylinders allowing you to go from 87.25mm all the way to 88mm.
1st coating is a 100% frm (fiber reinforced metal) compatible zinc/nikasil coating
2nd coating ceramic hard anodized surface down to the second ring groove to improve heat dissipation as well as use with nitrous.
3rd coating teflon/mos2 coated piston skirt to reduce friction
Pistons are equipped with 4 cryogenically heat treated 23mm wrist pins and teflon coated skirts and 8 spring c clips. all nippon racing pistons sets are weight matched to +/- 1 gram. these are true high performance racing pistons with a horsepower rating of 600 hp.
This kit is a full floating piston set meaning they are designed to be used with stock or aftermarket rods.
Nippon racing pistons are made using 2618 alloy and proprietary centrifugal spin casting process as well as a 6 step heat treatment process to insure a piston that is just as hard as a forged piston but with a much lower expansion rate than forged pistons meaning engines assembled with nippon racing pistons will outperform oem pistons by 300% and ensure a prolonged engine life. this process insures zero internal defects from the factory and are guaranteed to outperform any other piston manufacturers cast pistons on the market today. nippon racing offers a limited lifetime guarantee against any manufacturer defects on all of their pistons. nippon racing ltd has been manufacturing aluminum components in japan for over 40 years. all nippon racing ltd products are made in japan.

These are replacement pistons for the JDM / Japanese market F20C engines. (Compression ratio 11.7:1) Can be used with USDM or EDM F20C engines but will give a higher compression ratio.
These are Full floating pistons which can be used with OEM and aftermarket connecting rods. For an aftermarket connecting rod, you will have to will the rod to make it fit.
