The H-Gear header is a popular upgrade for Prelude H22 owners regarded as being the best value aftermarket header that still retains a flexi section, allowing for some freedom of movement. Many other solid headers can eventually crack due to the continual stress of the engine bucking backwards and forwards. One solution is to use stiffer engine mounts, or a torque damper to limit the engine's movement - the other solution is to buy a header with a proper exhaust flexi in the first place. H-Gear exhaust manifold fabrication is stellar, expect a quality product at a good price.

H-Gear headers and exhaust systems are manufactured using CNC machined flanges and mandrel bent T-304 stainless steel tubing. All headers have precision fit merge collectors and all joints are TIG welded for durability and appearance. All mufflers are polished stainless steel with a polished stainless steel resonated tip and have been tuned to give a deep aggressive exhaust note, without being too loud.
